Sometimes I like to do it, it's nice to escape into a world where everything can be peaceful, and mostly free of suffering. It's all about friendship, adventures, fun, magic, and lessons learned along the way etc. No bills, no job stress, no schools, no war, no hate, no judgement etc. it also temporarily helps to take my mind off of suicide.

Obviously there has to be some conflict and chaos though otherwise I'd be watching a toddler's show which wouldn't entertain me. But I do feel like a lot of kids shows mirror what an actual ideal world would look like. Funny thing is that when you grow up, you realize that real life is so much worse.

i do. i wish i was a child again even though i feel like i've never outgrown it and everyone sees me that way still. adults are sicker and crueler than i ever imagined. i don't understand them even being one myself.

Back in the day I used to, but nowadays whenever I do watch stuff for younger audiences it always feels like I'm being taunted by the fact that most of the characters live in a happier reality that I'll never be able to achieve.

There's really mostly only one show I watch nowadays that's aimed towards younger audiences, but I gravitate towards it because the reality most of the characters live in is almost as bad if not worse than mine. In a way, it brings me comfort. It's called Aotu World, it's a Chinese show so it's a bit hard to find much about it in English but there are subbed versions out there somewhere (despite how depressing it gets later on, it was actually meant for a younger audience!)

Yes, I really like Hilda. It's cozy, adventurous, and whimsical. Moomin is another good one and free to watch on YouTube. I agree that it's nice to watch shows where adult responsibilities are sparingly mentioned and you can immerse yourself in a more care free world.

Miraculous Ladybug, Owl House, Adventure Time, and so on. I like animation, though. With kids' shows I like to smoke and get cozy.

Yeah, there's a lot of shows like this I've enjoyed watching before and even now. Amphibia, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, My Life as a Teenage Robot, Steven Universe, and Regular Show, just to name a few examples.
