Like our ancestors used to do, or living in isolation and individualism in a four-person nuclear family?

I'm pretty strongly anti-social so I doubt I would want to be stuck with the same 30-50 people for the rest of my life. I got friends that I could consider my "tribe" but idk if that's the same.

I come from cultures where community is prioritized.

I like the benefits of it (ex; being helped during hard times, the spontaneous dinners, the long chats, growing up with people) but it also feels like there hawk eyes on you 24/7, I find that communities are unfortunately filled with deeply toxic people who are codependent on others because they are allergic to being alone and minding their own business and they're highly cliquey and judgmental, especially Asian and religious communities. There's always talk about school, what you're wearing, money, gossip, and although it can be fun at first it can get draining and make you feel so shallow.

My parents are really close with my neighbors and I frankly don't have much interest in interacting with them bc I can't be myself around them and any interaction I have would just be surface level and fake, I also feel embarrassed asking them for help.

Community will die with gen z, hyper individualism has become the norm and people are too tired to maintain friendships currently. Even in cultures where community has been a staple, we can see that people have become more introverted.

I like the idea of living in a small community but I think that's an idealised view where everyone appreciates each other, and pulls their weight. I imagine the reality is more like what we have now. With a few people in charge, inequality, back stabbing and a whole lot of hard work.

I also really appreciate being alone so, I doubt I'd want to have people invading my privacy all the time.

I want to live by myself on a mountain and see other humans only when absolutely necessary.
