Like idk I think if there was a hypothetical god. You'd think he'd be able to like. Take everything into account. God would understand context. Like uh. Would say. Someone who takes drugs to cope. Be allowed into the pearly gates if God understands and would emphasize and forgive the circumstances and shit. Do you really need to repent? It is my belief that hell is empty I guess

I am not a believer, but the proposition that a personal God exists does not necessitate that he fulfills our idea of benevolence or justice.

I'm not a religious person, but the Bible clearly says all have sinned...

That's what's taught in Christian communities, it's only reasonable they believe so.

I was one of them, now I believe that transcendence ideologies like Christianity to be a form of nihilism. Living by predefined morals and ethics of others seems more comfortable and less scary to people than defining their own.

Is there a micromanaging asshole God just waiting for us to screw up so we can suffer eternal damnation?
Some think so and pride themselves on living a micromanaging asshole life. They like to share their joy with the rest of us.
In the immortal words of Mr. T., I pitty the fool.

I hope not, but I wouldn't be surprised. I grew up Jehovah's Witness and converted to Catholic around the age of 40, went through church classes and read books, been to Catholic Mass hundreds of times, never heard anyone say that. But I'm sure they're out there.
