If any of you have heard of Jeff Buckley's death, you might think that things look a bit fishy. He is my favourite musician, and I've always been absolutely convinced that he CTB'd and made it look like an accident.

The death itself does not look deliberate at first glance. He was swimming in a river not far from his house, and a tugboat came past. Unfortunately, he got sucked under as the boat went by and caused a tide, and he never came back up.

However, what really makes me suspicious is some of the lyrics in his songs, which seem to allude not only to his death, but also specifically to drowning in many cases. Here are a few examples.

'It's my time coming now, I'm not afraid, afraid to die'

'Dream asleep in the sand with the ocean washing over'

'Stay with me under these waves tonight. Be free for once in your life tonight.'

'I've loved so many times and I've drowned them all. From their coral graves they rise up when darkness falls,'

'Don't be like the one who made me so old,
Don't be like the one who left behind his name'

I could keep going. So was this all just a coincidence, or did he know in his songs he was going to die?
