  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I'm still in the process so definitely not clear, but the effect antidepressants had when I was at my worst was quite amazing. In particular, they allowed me to sleep, and the persistent sleep deprivation was one of the most horrific parts for me.

It also led me to switch things up in my life and almost start again, so while I may not believe it can ever be truly overcome, I believe it can get better, certainly.

Sometimes I'll feel pretty inferior when I see friends or classmates with bright futures and fancy jobs lined up, but taking things one day at a time gives so much freedom that I can't help but like it.

I went from full-time work to studying in an entirely different field, so I'm also just taking things as they come, trying to get the most out of life while I can!

I try to do this but subconsciously worry about the days to come as well :(

A wise man once said that you need resources to get out of it. I suppose everyone that has enough resources would have made it. The most important ones being a romantic relationship, financial stability and a job that you'd rather have than not.

Me, twenty years with doctos, psychologists and psychiatrists... twenty years...
I beat depression when I found out it was hormone thing..... it just went off....

however now I've got a broken heart, that's something I torn up during recovery, a fantastic romantic relationship, I was afraid depression came back in, and did not want to get her involved. Serious mistake, I cared for her well-being more than mine, now I miss her and she found a commitment with someone else.... damm..

I dont think on ctb anymore, except for moments when I exagerate about loosing her.. or having a hard life, but im alright, its only after twenty years, there are not so good fantastic beliefs about what I can accomplish in life, gotta beat it and act... damm.. the only way, gotta love myself more....

gotta love myself more

Every now and then there's a good bye thread written by someone who's in recovery and has decided to leave the community. So, it's absolutely possible for some people who come here to recover. That's positive, isn't it?
