The delayed text apps on IOS seem to operate off a credit system. If anyone knows a reliable free application, I'd be interested in hearing. But for now, apparently if you use a referral code on this app I found both parties get credits. The app is "AutoSender" and my code is UW3SSV. Sorry if this seems like I'm product whoring- I'll take this post down if it's annoying. If not, I hope others can use this to post their own referral codes for others to use.
