you'd have to drink water like your life depends, you'd not only need to drink a lot of water but in a short period time meaning you'd probably need like a bathtub filled with water and you'd probably get super nauseous and give up

You would likely stop long before you drank enough. Your body and mind are very good at not dying and preventing you from causing yourself to die.

Hyponatremia,
Look it up.
Dreadful way to go though.

I worked in psychiatric hospitals for a long time.
People would try to "flush" meds from their system & in the process get "water intoxication".
Its neither painless nor effective for 99%+ of attempts & people who did die didn't go without pain and most had other medical vulnerabilities as well.🤗🌹💔

I watched a documentary about some college student years ago who died from this. The student went to a frat party and he indulged in this and died. It was such a tragic case because I'm sure he does miserably and nobody helped him or probably believed him. Of course, they never say the amount he drank because people would it. So yeah, I heard of this 1 other time.

Won't work. It usually happens by accident, not intentionally trying.

I have tried it and drank countless litres and litres over the course of an hour. Started to feel really unwell and stopped peeing, and I was hopeful..nope, didn't do shit.

She drank two gallons of water in three hours. She also held in her pee the entire time. This is nearly impossible for anyone to do. Her case is the exception, not the rule.

This is how Leah Betts died. For those of you who don't know, in the late 90s in the UK a picture of her in her hospital bed was used to deter people from taking ecstasy, except she died from drinking too much water and not ecstacy itself. Usually you need to remember to drink water as you sweat when you dance but she took it to the extreme and wasn't at a club. Ecstasy also makes it hard to pee. Of course she most likely would not have drank so much if she had not taken ecstasy but it was still the water intoxication and hyponatremia that killed her. Sad story regardless, she had just turned 18.
