When I saw the title of this thread, I thought of the coffee shops in the Netherlands that sell marijuana. I thought, "That would be a fitting country to have suicide cafes." I would have been only mildly surprised if that's what this thread was about.

It doesn't seem related to euthanasia or the right-to-die movement. Don't see much value in this. "Death cafe" just poorly named to draw attention/clicks

I am part of a death cafe. I find it very comforting. I do not disclose that I am suicidal, but it is a safe space to discuss death in general without raising suspicion.

Yeah, the discussing death without suspicion could help a lot of people become pro-choice, since it could show them new perspectives. But other than that, I doubt it will do much.
