Would it be difficult/expensive for my family to get my body back if I died 3 or 4 states away

It would definitely add some cost to your funeral expenses for transporting the body.

I plan on dying in another state and as far as I know—unless you want a full body burial, the cremation will take take place in the state in which you die.

Contrary to popular belief, depending on the state, life insurance WILL pay out for suicides in most cases if the plan has been in place for over two years, and a handful of states for one year. It should be simple to google for your specific state.
