I don't have an issue on a personal level, like I can separate personal and work matters pretty well but they're making it very difficult...
For context, I work in a Chinese owned company. Most if not all but 2 people are Chinese. These 2 coworkers are the token white people that my boss hires literally to not have the image of a 'Chinese company'.
I don't have that much of an issue with that point in particular, but what bothers me is that we're literally worked to the bone whilst they are working at their own pace. Taking breaks when they want to, chatting with each other when they're supposed to work...
Even this is acceptable, if this is what they negotiated for...
HOWEVER, we have to work extra hours all the time, if we're slacking we're told off. The boss watches us all the time while what we're doing what earns the company actual money. They're allowed to work from home (whenever they want), we're not. They can change their working hours when they feel like it. If we can't make it to work we have to extensively justify ourselves to our boss... and they don't have to justify any spendings, while we constantly have to justify ourselves for any purchases even if they're essential. Standards are so fucking different between us
Just so you know, they're doing jack shit. What they're both doing earns less than 5% of the total company revenue whilst we work for the main revenue. I couldn't even properly sleep at times because of stress. And they have THE GALL to act condescending and badmouth us behind our backs...
They're always managing, leaving the menial work to me and others because its beneath them, cuz they have 'other important work to do!'. And we have to arrange our schedules around their tasks (they're not in a managerial position) to avoid any conflicts at work.
When I announced my departure (to CTB
) they didn't have the decency to make a fake reaction even as a courtesy. To go then afterwards talk about how happy and glad they would be that I was going to be gone. I had a pretty major role in our company, and I know very much that they're going to suffer quite a bit from me leaving.
I know its fucking wrong to want to guilt trip them, but I sooooo want to leave their names in my suicide note to make them feel maybe an ounce of empathy for other people besides themselves. I won't do that though no matter how much I want to, so I'll just vent here instead
