• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I recently had a blood test that highlighted I have high cholesterol (yay being a middle aged man) and I find myself acting very contradictory. One minute I'm researching ways to lower my cholesterol, the next I'm having trouble resisting the urge to buy SN online.

Has anyone else experienced the same?

I think being suicidal is necessarily contradictory, since we are designed to live and impact

I think- because we know that poor health or, factors that could lead to poor health will only make our lives worse- if we're not sure if/ when we might kill ourselves, it also makes sense to be keeping an eye on our health. To cover all bases- basically. Just because we are suicidal, doen't mean we enjoy being ill or risking illness.

That said- it depends on a person's plan I suppose. Some people do genuinely seem to want to paint themselves into a corner- as it were. Where suicide becomes their only option.

It's like that saying though: 'Live every day like it's your last.' Who would work on their last day on earth? Who would stick to a restricted diet? Most of the time, we have to live with an eye on the future.
