What are the best ropes on Amazon? If there's been a thread like this before I'm sorry.

You can find a good rope at the hardware store too, 15mm is enough I believe..

I actually settled on a luggage strap- Incredibly strong and also thin so you can put it over any door, but also it's easy to tie off if you need to.
