I don't own any pets atm . I actually thought this is the only relevant explaination to give . Sleeping aid seems abit extreme since every one will one day our parcels will face uncertainty.

Indeed. A small amount of N, just makes you sleep. Then people started taking too much and died by accident... And now it's banned in many countries...
