Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

are you planning on deleting social media?

I am debating on whether or not I want to leave my facebook up or not ... I don't really want people posting "goodbye" messages (although I'm not sure if they would) and I would prefer that fewer people find out about my death. What about you guys?

Not only social media but everything related to my person will be erased.
I think i will like burn everything from clothes, gadgets, accesories, cards and wallets, photos. Everything.

My friend died recently (not of suicide though) and his facebook account got deleted probably by a family member...But many people found out about his death via Facebook...
So it may be prudent to delete the account beforehand...Facebook gives you time to think about it... I do not remeber how many days before they actually delete the account... so you can always change you mind in case you decide not to go ahead with CTB...
I've never done the really popular social media like fb and twitter. Largely because, invariably it means that I'd end up having to interact with people from my past and generally there's usually a good reason that they were in my past in the first place. Besides, me being the product, tracking blah blah blah has always made me resist any temptaion to 'get involved'.

I wanted to completely wipe the files on my computer and phone, delete anything that suggests I ever existed, etc. I wanted to delete all of my social media but one. I love my friends more than anything and I plan on posting a final message for them about how it isn't their fault and they shouldn't worry too much. It sounds selfish, yeah, me thinking people actually care, but I thought it'd be a nice gesture.

I barely use Facebook etc so I haven't thought about it so thank you for making me think about it! I'll probably make a final message and then email Facebook asking them to delete my account after a couple days. I'm going to make sure there's nothing that will link to this community much love to everyone

I'm on the fence about this, but I've considered setting a delayed status to say goodbye and that it's okay now, I just don't know honestly. For now I have it but don't use it just so I can act like everything is fine if someone happens to message me (and the ones who have stopped responding once I said the I'm not doing well). Idk part of me hopes people would care a bit but probably we'll all just be relieved.
I'll leave it up. There will be a goodbye post, explaining what led to this situation. For me it's important to communicate the reasons of my suicide because it has a lot to do with external factors, mostly societal issues - and I want to shred some lights on those reasons that made me commit suicide in the first place. I've described it as a final act of activism in the past and that's my goal. It's probably not gonna change anything but at least my message is out there. I don't want to leave in silence and I think it's my responsibility to give all those people a voice who suffer from the same problems as I do.

Social media is depressing, it's nothing more than a pedestal for people to inflate their pretentious egos... I deactivated my account long ago and never plan on going back
Also there is no such thing as deleting a facebook account, because they changed their policy about that a fears back. They will never delete your data, but they will inactivate your account, but it is far from gone. But I guess for your purposes that inactivation is enough. I also dont have any social media - one less thing to care for I guess.
Planning to "reset" my phone and/or erase all data, disable access to my email accounts, etc. It makes me feel sick to my stomach to imagine police looking through my phone for "clues" or "answers", and of course, I am protective of this site and community. I am active on Reddit and will likely delete that account as well.
I do plan to leave a few notes, one for my sister, one for my nieces and nephew, etc.
I'll be resetting my laptop, too. Either that or destroying the hard drive.
