I know that after death there will be no sensation of anything, but how do you cope with this reality? It's a disgusting and disappointing truth.

It doesn't matter much because I will be dead, but I rather be cremated regardless.

I already couldn't care less about my body while I'm alive, death won't change that.

I mostly just don't care whatever happens to my body as I won't feel it nor be there to see whatever happens with it. I don't really view my body as something that is mine when I am dead as I am not controlling it anymore. Probably also me just me rarely being disgusted with most things.

I couldn't care less. In fact, I'd love that my corpse would be left in nature so it can be made the most of it by different living beings. Being turned to compost is also appealing.

I definitely do not care about that. I hope they enjoy the taste of mint chocolate chip ice cream and alcohol in my cells. Maybe that's not how it works… but whatever

No weirdly I sometimes fantasize about it, I don't know why I think just because it solidifies the sense of death. I was actually researching the decomposition process of different methods, I have a doc on it, I was going to post it but theres quite a few people here who don't like the thought of that, so my doc just sits there. But Im going by full suspension hanging which can have a slower decomposition process and is likely to not have any significant larvae, maggots or worms present in the process of decomposition.

It's completely normal and I will be dead anyway. I don't mind. Bugs and maggots are hungry too.

Decomposition isn't gross. Animal corpses help new life sprout and keep the ecosystem going. I believe it'd be pleasing to contribute to that with what I can

I am borrowing materials from nature. It is only right I give them back. I hope lots of things feast on me and grow nice and big. 💪

I'll be in an outside Mausoleum, 6 levels up, top level, no worms there, or other insects--I used to work in a large cemetery, we had to open a few mausoleum spaces before they were used, no insects, spiders or worms were present

Interesting topic I will probably be cremated but the idea of being food for critters is kind of appealing at least my corpse would be useful for something

Extreme Pain is much worse than people know

It only seems horrific and disgusting because we are alive now and our brain is creating that horror. Eating by worms will happen to most .all will die.

After the brain dies it won't matter. nothing will matter after Death.it will be as if we and the universe doesn't exist and never had forever like before we were born.

They invented a Torture called scaphism the boats. It was to get worms maggots to eat u alive from the inside out. They tortured a guy for 17 days straight he lasted. So every second he was alive of those 17 days he suffered unending constant unbearable pain and horror of having maggots in every orifice. Yet the second his brain died he was saved from that hell. The 17 days he was alive hell every second. The day after Death pure bliss Non-existence forever. That's the difference nothing can hurt u if u don't exist are not conscious. But they tell us life is a beautiful gift and that Non-existence is the worst thing to fear it

In the case of Mithridates, he endured 17 days of this torture before he ultimately died:

It's possible for modern day medical "savers" to keep me alive with machines and force fed in unending constant unbearable pain for decades, 1. Terry sciavo, 2. another woman with locked in syndrome, many others

No, I'd be relieved to never suffer ever again, for me the thought of such is comforting, all I want is to disappear and be forgotten about, it's comforting to think of being unconscious for all eternity with this dreadful, torturous existence all finally gone and forgotten about.

Existence to me just feels like a mistake and I'd be so glad to be free from this horrific reality where there is no limit as to how much one can suffer in this existence that to me is just so futile, I see it as an abomination to exist, what terrifies me is how humans can exist for so long just to die in agony from old age, existence is the problem to me and I always have so much dread for what lies ahead.

Yes I wish I was born in a country like Japan where all the dead are cremated, since my country is Islamic, if I die here then maggots will eat my body and I hate it so much

I agree. Dying is absolutely NOT the worst thing that can happen to you. And I still remember the second I came to that realization. I was seven. Interestingly enough, I was not suicidal back then, though looking back, I had every reason to be. And although I didn't know what it was called at the time, it appears I have ALWAYS been a believer in self-determination.
