Maybe before finally going through with it. I hear they can create life changing experiences (seen on Youtube and heard from people in real life).

Worth a try, it doesn't end up being life changing you might at least be fun or gain some kind of clarity.

I've used psilocybin about 6 times, half socially, half alone. I really enjoyed it each time and when I did it alone I had some interesting thoughts/creativity. However, come morning nothing was different.
I've done shrooms once, 25i once, and LSD probably about a dozen times. Definitely worth having the experience, I'd say. Also, a couple times when I took LSD while really depressed, it yanked me out of the depressive episode and made me feel good for about a week afterwards (sort of an LSD "afterglow"). But last time I took it, I took a little too much and was suicidal, and I had a bad trip. But keep the dose low (100-150 ug) and don't do it when you're in a really depressed mood and you'll be fine.
LSD bad trip could last on and off for about year.

I tried salvia divinorum couple times. Wierd experience. Once i burst out laughing for couple minutes as hard as i can. The other time i had bad trip that left me depressed for 3 weeks.
I've tried salvia a couple times, too. It was like I was in a spinning vortex. They weren't very pleasant experiences so I didn't try again. It was legal at the time I tried it. I don't know if it's still legal or not.
I'd much rather try magic mushrooms. I've heard they're good for depression.
I think it's worth trying but unless you do something like ibogaine or ayahuasca, it probably won't change your mindset that much. After recently doing mushrooms I had a hangover the next day and I decided I'm better off not doing it or very rarely. It gave me some uneasy anxious feelings but also joyful happy feelings in the same night. I experienced a fake happiness that was temporary but did feel good at the time.
Oh if it gave you uneasy anxious feelings it's probably not for me. I suffer a lot from anxiety already.

Do through research on what substance you're about to ingest and don't be afraid to ask questions here. Psychedelic aren't something to use for light pleasure or enjoyment. I recommend smoking pot a couple times before you move onto something bigger. If you're going to use LSD/Shrooms/Peyote find someone who is experienced. I would personally recommend using a low dose of LSA from HBWR seeds as the experience is a bit lighter. I'd also recommend planning having two days off after you use for your first time.
Drugs really aren't bad though.
