I grew up with Totoro and Kiki's delivery service. My mom is Japanese and used to buy the VHS tapes of Ghibli movies in Japan, before they were really known here in the US. She would live-translate the movies while we watched, since my sibling and I didn't learn Japanese as kids (my father didn't speak it). It still amazes me to this day. It's hard for me to pick a favorite, but maybe Princess Mononoke, I always loved those huge scary wolf spirits and wished I could live in the forest with them.

I've watched most studio ghibli movies, but hotaru no haka and tenku no shiro rapyuta are my favorites

Absolutely yes. Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke are true gems. Practicaly i know them since ever. I'll never be bored and i see again from time to time. They 'll have a place in my heart forever
Also saw Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, My Neighbor Totoro and Howl's Moving Castle. Pretty good all, just pointing that, for me, nothing reaches With Chihiro and Mononoke

i think spirited away has to be my favorite but I liked Kiki's delivery service. I even had a pair of socks with Kiki's cat on them
