  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

I don't know what else you tried, so forgive me if I only mention what you already know. My first line of defense is grounding and breathing exercises. I attached two techniques I use regularly. These are invaluable during panic attacks. Something else that has become invaluable to me is meditation. Specifically, the learning of how to keep my focus on a home base, and how to pop out of thoughts. Other than that... the alcohol and benzos together probably aren't doing you any favors. Both increase anxiety when your body is withdrawing from them. I wish I could be of more help for the nausia specifically. Anxiety sucks.

I'm a heavy ocd sufferer and I know how anxiety can hit like a train. It feels like you're about to explode.
From my experience, I tried alcohol, a lot. It doesn't work. Simply because it doesn't reduce anxiety and yet you will have to deal with alcohol withdrawal later.

Meds do work, but overdosing might not be the best idea, depending on what you're taking, your body will adapt to the medication and it will lose its effects.

For what I've been told, relaxation therapy and breathing exercises helps a lot. But they require some time to work. ( Everything we don't have. Time. ) That's because they require training. One session won't help with anxiety, it needs to be done constantly for some time.

Wish you the best.

I feel sick all the time from anxiety. It's awful. Alcohol and benzos will exacerbate anxiety once they wear off, and chronic use leads to addiction which can cause anxiety on it's own so if you're already prone to anxiety, it'll definitely cause a nasty cycle. I've been down that road. It was hell. It's best if you quit those, but you will feel worse for a while. The only thing I've found that helps me with anxiety in the moment is lying in bed and watching tv, and eating something even though I won't have an appetite. My way isn't exactly healthy either, but it does help some. Exercise often makes it worse in the moment for me, though it helps in the long term. Look up breathing techniques for anxiety and try to make a habit of doing them. I'm sorry you're dealing with this too : (

Oh yeah, I also drink ginger water. Literally, just ginger powder and water. That sometimes helps with feeling nauseated, though not always.

I have the exact same thing with the gagging,it just suddenly comes over me like a wave and a freeze trying really hard not to gag. The only thing I have found that helps in the short term is sipping water.

Im sorry you are suffering,I feel your pain.

I had a panic attack in Morrisons so bad it triggered as 20 minute seizure. Including banging my head on a freezer on the way down. And of course I had to piss myself. Woke up in hospital, went for a CT scan and was told it was probably a severe panic attack. Probably.
