I read an article where Anne Burrell died from diphenhydramine, cetiritizine, and ADHD medication, and ethanol. How is this possible? Them medications seem so common.

Both diphenhydramine and cetirizine are antihistamines, which when mixed with alcohol it acts like a form of sedative.

I don't know how much she took or what kind of ADHD medication she took, but when you take a lot and mix it with alcohol, you can definitely OD on it.

Why do they say most od's fail then? That doesn't seem so hard to do. I don't know how many she took but they said she had about 100 pills found or around her .

When it comes to OD's the effectiveness highly depends on what you take, and if you can keep it all down without throwing up.

The worst way to go through an OD is convulsing on the floor/in your bed.

Cetirizine ? I take it and I'm super sensitive to meds. It's one of the least dangerous med. I can't vision how someone could OD on it. Also beyond a certain dose it doesn't add any more effect 🤔

I was just reading about this in People magazine. She left a suicide note. One thing I found interesting is that she never went to bed that night, at least not in her own bed, husband said it was made and it was unusual. She was discovered after 7 am so wondering if she suffered all night or if it was quick, or quickish. She is finally at peace and I wish this combo worked 100% of the time because I have all of these meds.
