One time I saw an article about a woman dying from drinking too much water too quickly and it made me wonder if I could kill myself by just chugging water. Whenever I see news about a teen dying from 'butt chugging' alcohol and getting alcohol poisoning I wonder if I could purposefully give myself alcohol poisoning. How do these people accidentally kill themselves so easily but it's so hard for me to purposefully kill myself? Does anybody else wonder if they could turn these accidental deaths into a more purposeful death?

I don't know if water poisoning or alcohol poisoning would count as "easy" ways to die. They sound like something that could be very painful with a high chance of failure, potentially leaving you with permanent disabilities.

One category of accidental deaths that do translate well to viable CTB methods is inert gas asphyxiation. People have been dropping dead unexpectedly from accumulated gases in silos and other enclosed spaces for ages, and that can be reliably replicated with a tank of inert gas and an exit bag.
