Realized a week ago that the MCP (metoclopramide) in my mom's cabinet has been expired since March of 2018. It comes in a little bottle, which was opened before (therefore being subject to air and stuff).

The bottle contains metoclopramidedihydrochlorid. On the back of the packet it reads "1 ml (18 drops) contains 5.2 mg metoclopramidedihydrochlorid which corresponds to 4.0 mg metoclopramide". So if I understand it correctly, it would have the same effects as MCP, right? And is it an issue that it expired, like, almost 3 years ago, as a liquid and having been opened before (but being stored on average in room temperature for years)?
