Resource a thread for religious/spiritual folks

this may not be helpful to most on here, but just wanted to create something for those of us who believe in "something" beyond this life- a safe space to ask questions, share experiences/thoughts/hopes, discuss, and receive support from others <3

I do NOT believe in any form of organized religion, however, YES there is a GOD and also his/her nemesis.

At the age of 69 and having seen so much human behavior, I strongly feel as if organized religion is all about money and power.

Now GOD is always here to help, I firmly believe in the powers that be, GOD and my nightly prayers when I retire really help me in so many ways.

Everyone has the right to think, believe and act/react in their own way(s), I just hope that folks think is all. This is NOT about anyone or the whole group here, as I ultra strongly think that we are the finest group on the face of this Earth. We lookout for each other and care and love, we are fantastic.

i agree with you! i think that most, if not all, organized religion is a way to keep people oppressed and controlled. i do think religious texts and such have a lot to show us about humanity and our interconnectedness, but it's been twisted in a way for other people's benefit (money and power like you said).

i'm not sure if i believe in any specific diety or god, but i do think there's something.

wanted to know if anyone has ever done a reading with a medium? i did one last week and it was ok i think. the guy did seem like the real deal, but the messages/symbols i got weren't super clear. i'm going to try another one soon and wanted to know if anyone had any recommendations?
