Story 13 year old commits suicide

A 13 year old kid in India has committed suicide after spending 40000 rupees (approximately 538 USD) of his mother's money on an online game while she wasn't home.

The kid spoke to his mother on phone and fearing some kind of harsh action from his parents after they came home, decided to end his life.

How does a 13 yo even have the mental capacity to do this ? I know young people die by suicide sometimes but this is truly horrible.

At 32, I am struggling with suicidal ideation still.

Although I want to end my life and I believe life is a disease, I think it's beyond tragic that a poor kid had to face his SI because of money problems and a video game.

I was suicidal at their age too, the difference is I didn't have the guts to do it because I am a coward. Instead I have decades of this shitty life. I hope they found peace.

That's a really horrible situation. He must have been so utterly terrified after realising his mistake. I don't know what else to say other than it's just really, really terrible.
